    Green River College is a two-year public

    college in Washington State that offers

    more than 100 different degrees and

    certificates in academic and technical

    programs. The campus is located on 186

    acres of forested land and is known for

    its beautiful park-like setting, and its safe,

    friendly and peaceful study environment.

    Seattle is about 45 minutes north of

    Green River. This major international
    city
    is home to Microsoft, Boeing,
    Amazon,
    and Starbucks Coffee. A
    trip to Seattle is
    included in the new
    student orientation
    each quarter.

    Through our 2+2 program, students take the first two years*

    of their bachelor’s degree at Green River. 
    *Depending on assessment and placement, students may

    need to take non-transferable, developmental classes and the

    program may take longer than two years.

    Students can receive a University Transfer Pathway letter

    from one of more than 40 universities at the time they are

    admitted to Green River.

    For Highly Motivated Students
     

    Save Time and Money:  Get a Washington State

    High School Diploma plus earn transferable

    university credits at the same time.
     

    Earn Dual Degrees:  Earn two degrees for the

    price and time of one. Graduate in just two years

    with a high school diploma plus a university

    transfer associate degree. *

    Competitive Advantage: Apply to top

    universities, including the University of California

    schools, as a transfer student and skip the SAT

    and ACT tests.

    Fast Track: Enter college before finishing high

    school and graduate from university at least one

    year earlier than your high school classmates.

    Program (IEP) provides

    strong academic English and

    study skills preparation for

    students entering a college

    or university

    Gap Year/Study Abroad
     

    Gap Year/Study Abroad at Green River

    provides an opportunity for students to study

    in the U.S. between secondary education and

    university. Depending upon the courses taken

    and the policies of the receiving university,

    some of these courses may be transferable.

    •   3 lower levels focus on Grammar, Writing, Reading, Listening and Speaking: Basic,

         Intermediate, and High Intermediate (depending on student performance, each level could

         take less than a quarter)

    •   2 upper levels focus on academic English and study skills: Academic Bridge Prep with a

         2-credit class and Academic Bridge with a 5-credit transfer class (each level takes one

         quarter to complete)

    •   Graduates of IEP qualify to take academic classes without TOEFL or IELTS
