Green River College is a two-year public college in Washington State that offers more than 100 different degrees and certificates in academic and technical programs. The campus is located on 186 acres of forested land and is known for its beautiful park-like setting, and its safe, friendly and peaceful study environment.

Through our 2+2 program, students take the first two years* of their bachelor’s degree at Green River.
*Depending on assessment and placement, students may need to take non-transferable, developmental classes and the program may take longer than two years.

Individual Transfer Plan
A key to success at Green River and beyond is the individual transfer plan. Students work with their assigned advisor to develop a plan that includes: student’s major, destination transfer universities, and Green River course plan.

For Highly Motivated Students

Save Time and Money: Get a Washington State High School Diploma plus earn transferable university credits at the same time.
Earn Dual Degrees: Earn two degrees for the price and time of one. Graduate in just two years with a high school diploma plus a university transfer associate degree. *
Fast Track: Enter college before finishing high school and graduate from university at least one year earlier than your high school classmates.

Intensive English
The Intensive English Program (IEP) provides strong academic English and study skills preparation for students entering a college or university
• 20 instructional hours of class per week (summer varies)
• 3 lower levels focus on Grammar, Writing, Reading, Listening and Speaking: Basic, Intermediate, and High Intermediate (depending on student performance, each level could take less than a quarter)
• 2 upper levels focus on academic English and study skills: Academic Bridge Prep with a 2-credit class and Academic Bridge with a 5-credit transfer class (each level takes one quarter to complete)
• Graduates of IEP qualify to take academic classes without TOEFL or IELTS
